Linkedin- Are you and do you like it?


I am a member of server professional network sites- Construction Exchange (since 11/08), Linkedin, Naymz, and of course I have a Facebook, but that is mainly for family and friends. However there are groups like local Chamber of commerce and ABC, and Gulfcoast Builders Exchange that I follow.
I am curious to know what networks others are involved with.
Do you follow RSS feed? If so - Which ones?

    I am using and experimenting with all the networking sites I know of. You can them listed on my Google Profile (http://www.google.com/profiles/mggrew) and my public profile here on Construction Exchange. I agree that LinkedIn is the best so far.

    This is an old conversation, but it deserves a look again- twitter, Linkedin, Naymz, Facebook are great marketing tools. I am curious as to how many are making great professional relationships with this applications.

    Agreed, LinkedIn is definitely one of the best professional networking sites out there. I've never been too attracted to Twitter and Facebook personally but two of my companies are currently on it. From a business perspective it certainly can't hurt!

    Yes, but I cant see how that site has any use other then a place for all of us to meet up and share our woes. How bad it is for us all and we can cry on each others shoulders. Just like twitting it seems to be pointless. Glad to meet some nice people,but are we all wasting out time networking at a watering hole in the middle of the desert. It just seems like a good place to vent. Anyone made any money twitting or linking?

    I have found a number of social networking sites very useful. LinkedIn is by far the best for professional networking. This site does not have nearly as much of the personal pontificating that other sites have. I don't RSS feed. I have been a part of Construction Exchange since the beginning, I am in Naymz, Plaxo, Twitter, Facebook and others.
    Which one is best for you will be determined by what you needs are.
